Using Turnips in Indian Cooking

Turnips are round white root vegetables that are used across the world in all types of dishes. They are rich in vitamin C and can be boiled, steamed, fried or roasted. With Indian food they are cooked with lentils as a dhal dish or a vegetable dish with a masala. There are a number of different varieties.
